Enfield school meals newsletter
At Latymer All Saints we are very proud of our school meals which are cooked fresh on the premises every day. Children can have a hot and healthy school meal, which costs £2.50 per day, or they can bring in a packed lunch from home. All of our meat is Halal.
Free school meals
All children in Foundation stage and Key Stage 1 are entitled to a free school meal. However, it is important that Parents/ Carers complete the form, which can be obtained from our school office, as this will ensure pupil premium funding is allocated to the school.
If you think you are entitled to free school meals you need to apply to Enfield Council as soon as possible as it can take some time to process and is not backdated. (A copy of the form can be obtained from our school office).
If you will be paying for meals please note that we do not accept cash payments – meals are paid for using the on-line system run by Parent Pay. Please ask the school office if you need help to set up an account. Please note that if you wish to change from packed lunches to school meals, or vice versa, you must give us at least a weeks notice. Please note that you MUST pay for your child’s meals in advance as debts cannot be allowed to accumulate. Action to settle any debt will be taken in line with out debt recovery policy.
If your child has a packed lunch, please provide a clearly labelled lunch box and put the drink in a plastic container (no glass bottles). As we are committed to healthy eating we do not allow sweets, chocolates or fizzy drinks. Due to some severe nut allergies in school it is very important that your child’s packed lunch is nut free (this includes peanut butter).
